Production Planning Specialist

The Production Planning Specialist will schedule, coordinate,
and monitor jobs for designated cells to ensure efficient
operations and cycle time to meet quality standards and to enable
on time delivery, while maximizing resources and supporting company
objectives. In coordination with the Scheduling organization,
review, and distribute work orders, production, and shipment
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities:
Organize production schedule within designated areas according to
work order specifications, established priorities, and availability
or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and
Develop realistic, detailed production schedules within designated
cells with direct guidance from the Master Schedulers.
Communicate and distribute production schedules and work
Revises production schedule based on requirements from the Master
Schedulers, when necessary.
Evaluates production requirements and shop capacity data to assign,
coordinate, and ensure appropriate staffing levels for jobs.
Manages WIP and job kit area.
Ensures timely preparation and submission of status and progress
reports and related data required.
Analyze data for decision making to support raw material supply and
finished goods demand.
Complete status reports for production progress, work-in-process,
and raw material inventory.
Complete reports and techniques to monitor production program
schedule variances against the plan and current forecasts.
Works with the production team to identify, develop, and implement
efficiency improvements for the company.
Understand and perform to all quality regulations, standards, and
policies, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR
M-1003. Follow work procedures and ensure highest level of

3+ year of experience with machine shop, high mix/low volume make

3+ years of production planning/scheduling experience preferred

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:
This position is performed in an office environment, and as
required by job duties, a shop environment. May be exposed to loud
operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors

May require use of Personal computer, fax machine, copy machine,
other office equipment, Microsoft Office, Access, PowerPoint
