This position is responsible managing and analyzing our spend data. The position may be based in Northville, MI and reports directly to the Finance Director, Indirect Procurement of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT and procurement team to understand spend data sources and requirements.
  • Lead the categorization and management of all Tenneco spend data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and create customized reports and dashboards with a regular cadence
  • Provide thought leadership and data-driven insights to identify potential cost-saving opportunities within the procurement function.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, providing actionable information to stakeholders.
  • Normalize, filter, and blend extracted datasets with internal datasets
  • Create and manage ETL processes to transform and load data from various sources into Azure
  • Identify and track key performance metrics related to cost-saving initiatives and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for risk identification and mitigation in procurement activities.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
    • Experience: Proven experience (7 years) in data analytics
      Skills
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, SQL, and ETL frameworks.
      • Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI to visualize and communicate insights effectively.
      • Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
      • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work collaboratively across departments.
