Job Description:

SCOPE: The is primarily responsible for administering and monitoring activity to the Lakeshore Management Tenant status. Ensuring proper accounting procedures are followed to account for ledger charges and credits, receipt of payments for rents or other funds. Processing of Vendor invoices.

The A/R A/P Clerk must possess and apply excellent customer service acumen and critical thinking in dealing with Employees, Tenants and Vendors in reviewing complex transactions, while still applying Lakeshores business principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain Change of Ownerships (COO) policies and procedures.

Review all Community COOs processed.

Validate and verify all paperwork related to tenant move outs.

Verify all tenant ledger information is correct and make any necessary adjustments.

Write off any unrecoverable delinquent account balances.

Research and resolve payment and ledger discrepancies.

Post daily deposits to the General Ledger.

Reimburse any refunds due to Tenants.

Deposit non tenant income.

Assists the Staff Accountants with open bank reconciliation items.

Supports the Accounts Payable Department through invoicing, task tracking, data uploads and overall A/P processes.

Complete miscellaneous projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma requires, some college preferred.

Demonstrated Knowledge of property management accounting software, Yardi preferred.

Understanding of rental collection and ledger systems

Knowledge of general accounting principals

Familiar with the chart of accounts structure

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Prioritize and plans work activities, uses time effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Power Point. Manage America experience a plus.
