Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced cloud engineer to work with our engineering team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure. To be successful as a cloud engineer, you should be able to identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our clients and maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. A top-notch cloud engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and should be a team player. This position will investigate routine computer incidents under the direction of a senior engineer's. This position will handle confidential and proprietary information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Modifying and improving existing systems.
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs
  • Track service availability and performance metrics and provide timely updates to management. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
    • Bachelors' degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other closely related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in non-complex IT engineering systems that include basic network, storage, back-up, platforms, middleware, application with three (3) years of experience in the field of cloud computing.
    • Azure, AWS, and GCP certifications preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, execute tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to interact with colleagues from all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical, and communicate technical ideas effectively.
    • Requires self-motivated approach to work with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with minimal oversight.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet and networking.
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently, with minimal direction. Preferred Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

      • Web/Email Filter
      • Intrusion Prevention
      • Vulnerability Scanning
      • Data loss prevention
      • Forensics
      • Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365.
      • CASB
      • WAF
      • Application Whitelisting
