unrelenting commitment to excellence.Role OverviewROLE SUMMARY The
Line Lead is responsible for performing a variety of functions
within the packaging area of the production department including
case packing, carton packing, inspecting, check weighing, labeling,
box making, and reworking product. The tasks will entail the use of
standard packing machinery and procedures to pack and box various
finished goods in cartons, bags, or containers.PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIESPack finished goods (bags, caddies, cartons, boxes,
etc.) into finished casesInspect finished product and primary and
secondary packaging for defects (broken, doubles, count, poor
seals, code dates, etc.) and packing primary packages (bags,
cartons, etc.) into finished master casesEnsure all finished
product meets and/or exceeds quality standardsMaintain an
understanding of quality standards to identify poor quality product
Work to produce the highest quality, safest, and most cost
efficient products possibleUnderstand and comply with all Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety Regulations and
Practices, Safety Rules, SSOP, Quality Control Forms, HACCP, and
CCPOperate and maintain conveyor belts carrying goods to be
packaged and maintain a clean work stationWeigh packages and adjust
quantity as needed to meet performance standards.Label master
cases, bags, and products when requiredMaintain records and logs
such as weight, time, and date packaged per customer specsStamp,
write, or affix caddies on packaged materialsPrepare inventory
records per batch orderPerform backup duties for related
positionsMaintain an understanding of AX, consumption, and
RAFPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Must wear proper personal
protective equipment including uniform, face mask, hair net, latex
gloves, bump cap, earplugs, and safety shoesWill be standing on
concrete, stair climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, and turning
for a full eight-hour shiftMust be able to lift up to 50
poundsRequired to work weekends during peak season and/or overtime
when needed KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or
equivalentExperience in the foods/manufacturing industry highly
preferredGood observational skills to spot defective
products.Ability to meet production targets and maintain routine
production schedulesAbility to work both as a team and
individuallyAbility to follow strict and safe guidelines and
quality proceduresAbility to establish effective working
relationships across the organization and willingness to work
