Job Description:

We are looking for an Interior Designer to join our team.

Interior Designer evaluates, selects, and performs in a self-directed manner all aspects of the interior design process, including preparation of presentation materials, schematic design, design development, renderings, and construction administration activities within an established budget, schedule, site, and programmatic requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with interior design team to develop design solutions
Research concepts and materials to support design team on technical issues influencing concept development
Work within timely schedules to coordinate the completion of tasks through to final project completion
Conduct on-site observations and provide recommendations to help streamline ongoing design projects
Prepare and participate in client presentations
Select furniture, materials, decor and finishes while keeping within budget
Create sample boards
Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures
Oversee construction and coordinate with general building contractors to implement the plans and specifications for the project
Visit the site after the project is complete, to ensure that the client is satisfied

Develops design solutions in a broader context through collaborative efforts involving outside consultants when needed
Displays confidence with client interaction and seeks to develop industry relationships

DESIGN

Possesses a strong understanding of design principles, theory, and trends.
Displays strong creative interior design skills including concept development, selection of colors, materials, finishes and furniture
Overall knowledge of the design process; including design documentation, FF&E specifications, color, materials, and finishes

TECHNICAL

Modestly experienced in interior architectural development and construction detailing
Strong experience in furniture/finish selection and specification writing
Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of SketchUp and Revit preferred

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program
Minimum 4+ years of experience in hospitality, commercial, or healthcare Interior Design
