Industry marketing translates the organization’s business objectives, market opportunities and portfolio of offerings into a well-defined, cohesive go-to-market strategy for an industry vertical. The Portfolio Marketing Lead aligns products, services and solutions to global accounts, thereby driving clarity and efficiency in go-to-market execution


The Portfolio Marketing Lead will leverage the industry knowledge of the Industry Marketing organization and Global Account team in order to develop presentations and communication material in support of our revenue generation efforts for global accounts. This individual will collaborate extensively with the Global Strategic Account leaders, Industry Marketing leaders and SMEs on the development of communication materials to support sales growth at Uls most important customers.



Job responsibilities


  • Lead a team to deliver an overall ABM strategy, framework, and informs ABM technology business requirements that align to UL’s new account tiering framework.
  • Provide a range of editorial and communications consult to coworkers and other business partners, both strategic and tactical, as necessary, including creation of communication plans.
  • Owns development of key messaging and value propositions that links our portfolio and industry messaging to our customer’s business strategies.
  • Support the industry marketing team in the development of industry presentation materials that would be used in customer presentations.
  • Coordinate development of global account presentations, videos and executive speeches that would be used for meetings and events with our global accounts.
  • Employs Storytelling techniques to create compelling content.
  • Ensures sales enablement needs of our global account team are understood and met, partnering with Commercial Excellence as needed.
  • Follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Contribute to business success by performing other tasks as required.

  • Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, communication or related field, plus generally more than eight years of experience
  • Skilled editor and experienced writer
  • Content creation and production
  • Executive communications and scripting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, Customer-centric orientation, Business acumen, Strategic mindset, Creative thinker and collaboration skills.
  • Strong capabilities and experience working with senior leaders
  • Able to understand technical and scientific issues and to translate complex information for nonscientific audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience managing and/or using a wide array of internal communication tools
