Join us!The Intake Supervisor assists in providing external and internal support throughout the admissions process to Covenant Living Communities and Services' 14 skilled nursing communities. Will provide excellent customer service and a thorough understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care within the long-term care setting. Position has final decision making authority for admissions. This position will help campuses decide risk profiles about accepting or declining admissions based on payor source, eligibility, and coverage under existing contracts. This position is expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all matters of the job. This is not a sales position and the workplace is in an office setting.Responsible to understand any changes to eligibility and coverage from any payors we accept and keeping campus' educated. Adjust policy and procedures to reflect changes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the financial and coverage aspects of skilled nursing revenue cycle in order to assure accurate reimbursement from all payor sources.Create, develop and execute matrix resources for managed care authorization and coverage for contracted managed care partners. Hold communities accountable for following established protocols.Educate and train community staff on third party intake process.Develop policies and procedures related to skilled nursing intake.Audit admissions and discharges records according to organization policy.Lead team and all medical review requests. Facilitate campus clinicians and reimbursement team.Ensure timely responses to medical reviews. Partner with community leadership and centralized billing to respond to medical review requests from third party payers.Partner with centralized billing to troubleshoot collection issues.Provide interim community support during periods of transition.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:Required Degree: Bachelor's degreeExperience:

• 3 - 5 years previous intake/admissions experience in a long-term care/nursing home setting required.
• Previous supervisory experience and management training is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
  • Must have thorough understanding of Medicaid, Medicare and Managed Care requirements and procedures, as well as regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to develop relationships and communicate effectively with remote co-workers.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
