Staff Nurse, Post Anesthesia Care Unit-Skokie, 36 hrs, Day, $5K sign onPosition Highlights:

* Position: Staff Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit-Skokie
* Location: Skokie, IL
* Full Time/Part Time: Part Time, 36 hours/week
* Hours: Rotating shifts with varying start times from 8:00AM to 12:00PM; 4 - 9 hour shifts; On-call requirements - 4-6 weeknight call shifts and 3-4 weekend call shifts over a 6 week schedule. Call shifts vary based on unit needs
* Required Travel: To other NorthShore sites as needed

What you will need:

* License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
* Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
* Certification: BLS/CPR, ACLS Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
* Experience: PACU or Critical Care experience, or experience with post-surgical patients in an inpatient unit required

What you will do:

* Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
* Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
* Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
* Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
* Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
