Description
LifeScan Labs of Illinois is located in Skokie, IL has been a
leader in providing reliable laboratory services for Northern
Illinois for over 20 years. We are a laboratory specializing in
medical diagnostic testing for physicians and long-term care
facilities. Lifescan Labs of Illinois, LLC is looking for a Human
Resources Generalist that will serve an integral role in our Human
Resources department. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will
focus on continuous improvement by supporting strong collaboration
and inclusivity within the organization. The HR Generalist will
have both administrative and strategic responsibilities to help
ensure smooth and efficient business operations. You will partner
with the Operations team and other HR staff to ensure seamless and
cohesive employee support, delivering maximum value to the
organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage full cycle of onboarding, including facilitating
orientation for Covid-19, Phlebotomy and HR as needed. Monitor and
ensuring completion of Onboarding in HRIS.
- Act as backup for new hire Onboarding, Orientation, and
completion of new hire paper work in HRIS with job candidates.
- Maintain all internal digital and hard copy employee
files.
- Update HRIS with new entries and facilitate reporting for HRIS
system as necessary.
- First point of contact for employee relations issues. Assists
with employees' queries and problem resolution as necessary.
- Resolve any employee data, payroll, or reporting structure
discrepancies in both the ATS and HRIS systems. This includes time
keeping, PTO, sick time, retro pay. Assist with the bi-weekly
payroll and mileage reimbursement processes.
- Act as point of contact and resource for all new hires.
- Performs routine tasks required to execute human resource
programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and
leave of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and
investigations; performance and talent management; productivity,
recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and
training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants,
employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive
matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings,
terminations, and investigations.
--- Maintains knowledge of HR and employment/labor law trends, best
practices, regulatory changes, as well as new technologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in HR.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Extraordinary attention to detail and organization, with the
ability to juggle multiple projects and wear different hats.
- Is personable, dependable, hardworking and loves to work in a
collaborative environment with people who also exhibit these same
qualities.
- Ability to adapt to changes and remain calm in ambiguous
situations.
- Proficiency with MS Office, with the ability to quickly pick up
different tools and applications: different job boards, ATS and
HRIS systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary Description
$50,000 - $65,000 Annually
