This opportunity calls for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, with expertise in Ophthalmology and DaVinci Robot-assisted general surgery. The position offers a contract assignment with a full-time, Monday through Friday schedule, featuring four 10.5-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, plus weekend on-call rotation. The role demands a candidate who is IL-licensed, BLS certified, and proficient in Epic electronic medical records, with at least two years of OR nursing experience including prior travel contract exposure. Key Qualifications and Experience: Active Illinois Registered Nurse license Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience Proficiency with Epic system for patient documentation Previous travel healthcare contract experience strongly preferred Specialized skills in Ophthalmology and DaVinci Robot-assisted surgery BLS certification current and valid Ability to be on-call approximately 8-10 days per month, staying within 30 minutes of hospital Responsibilities include preparing and assisting during surgeries, collaborating with an established and cohesive surgical team, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate documentation. The orientation process offers flexibility with start days available throughout the week. Located in Glenview, Illinois, about 28 miles from Chicago, the area combines suburban comfort with access to urban amenities.
