An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in the Operating Room, specifically skilled in Ophthalmology and DaVinci Robot-assisted general surgery. This contract position requires a dedicated professional experienced in fast-paced surgical environments, ready to contribute to a collaborative surgical team. Location: Situated in Waukegan, IL, this role offers proximity to the vibrant city life of Chicago while providing the community feel of suburban living. Key Qualifications and Experience: Current Illinois RN license Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience, including proficiency with Epic systems Prior travel nursing experience with at least one contract completed Specialized experience in Ophthalmology and DaVinci Robot general surgery techniques Schedule and Assignment Details: Contract length: 8 weeks Weekly hours: 40 hours Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM for four days each week Weekend rotation: on-call availability required On-call commitment: 8 to 10 shifts per month, must be within 30 minutes of the hospital Responsibilities: Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care, focusing on specialized ophthalmologic and robotic-assisted surgeries Collaborate efficiently with surgical teams in a fast-paced environment Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and coordination Additional Requirements: Health screenings and immunizations up to date, including CBC, DS, and QuantiFERON Gold within the last 90 days Credentials must be submitted prior to start date; orientation available any weekday About the Area:Waukegan and nearby Glenview are suburban communities located less than 30 miles from Chicago, offering a blend of urban amenities, recreational parks, and cultural activities.
