It's Just Better Here. We're hiring for a Hospice Volunteer
Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Residential Home Health and

role will work with our clients in Skokie, IL and surrounding
areas.Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities: Plan,
coordinate, and manage all volunteer program activities in the
organization.
- Develop and run the Hospice Volunteer program under the
guidelines of Hospice regulations
- Recruit, educate, and select volunteers
- Determine a need for volunteer services with the patient and
family/caregiver and entire Hospice team
- Develop a volunteer orientation/documented checklist
program
- Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate
manner
- Maintain monthly statistics
- Work with Human Resources on maintaining volunteer personnel
files
- Reevaluate volunteer program as necessary
- Coordinate support/education meetings
- Attends interdisciplinary group meetings to update on patient
status
- Provide information to individuals and community groups about
Hospice volunteer services
- All other duties assigned by supervisorHospice Volunteer
Coordinator Qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in health care
setting
- Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred
- Competence and proficiency in understanding the Hospice
Volunteer program
- Understands the Hospice philosophy
- Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer
services
- Ability to organize and develop volunteer Hospice personnel for
both patient and organizational needs
- Ability to manage a group of individuals providing volunteer
time and who will be considered employees
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented
collaborative environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Good team building skills
