Nurse Auditor* Position: Nurse Auditor
* Location: Skokie
* Full Time/Part Time: Full-time
* Hours: 40

What you will need:

* Education: Bachelor's degree or over 5 years related healthcare experience in lieu of degree.
* Licensure / Certification: RN or LPN required, RHIA, RHIT, COC, or CCDS-O CDOE credential preferred.
* Experience: Five or more years of healthcare knowledge typically obtained from experience as a clinical caregiver or manager, coding specialist, and/or a revenue management/cycle professional staff person.
* General understanding of hospital based outpatient charging, coding, and/or revenue capture functions.
* Demonstrates skilled ability and comfort with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred), and hospital billing functions

What you will do:

* Audit charts and ensure appropriate charge captured
* Review documentation to ensure assigned charges are supported
* Recognize documentation clarification opportunities and works with team to secure additional documentation when needed
* Assist in training and education as appropriate
