Revenue Cycle Project Manager

Job Description:

Position Summary: The Revenue Cycle Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinated revenue cycle related projects to ensure revenue targets and business goals are met. The Project Manager applies project management methodologies and promotes best practice revenue cycle management. The Project Manager collaborates with the Revenue Cycle, Project Management Office, IT, Sales, and Operations on large scale projects incorporating multi-departmental criteria into the project plan. Essential Job Functions: ---Manages all aspects of revenue cycle projects acting as the single point of contact for the Revenue Cycle. Escalates any delays as appropriate to ensure project timelines are met. ---Create and updates project plans, budget, timelines, and all supporting documentation required for successful implementations. ---Conducts planning, facilitates work-task estimation, tracks and reports on project deliverables. ---Collaborates on process automation opportunities with the Revenue Cycle Management Team and Chief Technology Officer. ---Interviews project stakeholders to acquire project definitions. Creates stakeholder analysis to minimize gaps in process and system changes. ---Partners with Corporate Training Director to develop change management training. ---Participates in workflow analysis and design required for all projects. ---Sets project and manages project expectations with Revenue Cycle Team and cross departmental stakeholders. ---Holds Revenue Cycle Project SMEs accountable to the project task. ---Identifies risks and obstacles impacting project execution, timelines, and budget. Develops mitigation plans for each risk area and escalates to Chief Revenue Officer based on impact and priority. ---Communicates status and progress to Management assuring key decisions are identified and approved. ---Conducts multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss project plan, related activities, issues, change management, communication needs, and project updates. ---Facilitates and documents project retrospectives including lessons learned to improve overall execution of future projects. ---Remains current with trends, regulatory requirements, and business strategies related to the payer relations and revenue cycle. ---Operates in compliance with all local, state and Federal laws as well as policy and compliance standards. ---All other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: ---Bachelor's Degree in business, information systems, finance, or related field preferred. ---3-5 years-experience managing projects in a healthcare provider setting integrating revenue cycle applications. ---2-3 years-experience in the revenue cycle within a group practice utilizing CMS1500 claim forms. ---Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. ---Change Management certification preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Key Job Competencies: ---Ability to create detailed project plans and manage project through delivery ---Expert in agile and waterfall project management methodologies ---Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Power Point, Word, and Visio ---Flexible to ensure project specifications are aligned with business needs ---Exceptional detail orientation, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills ---Aptitude to conceptualize processes and implement process efficiencies into operations ---Ability to work autonomously and efficiently within designated timeframes or deadlines in a fastpaced environment ---Communicates effectively orally and in writing with all levels of the organization ---Customer service orientation Salary Description $52,000 - $65,000 annually.
