Summary: Under general supervision the Front-End Engineer is
responsible for editing electronic data supplied by the customer to
meet manufacturing specs. Editing customer-supplied data on graphic
screen, adjusts line width, spacing, pad size, hole size, copper to
edge and plating to manufacturing specifications. Creating
panelization to step and repeat one up data onto panel form.
Creating AOI, Drill, Rout and manufacturing specifications or to
customer revisions changes. Modifying tooling, if problems exist.
Re-plotings production tooling according to manufacturing needs.
Responsibilities: Accurately tool a job on company CAM system using
Genesis software. Provide all NC data required for manufacturing.
Generate data required by ET department. Review prints and purchase
orders. Scale and output Drill programs and/or Rout programs upon
request. Send scaled Artwork to plot upon request. Output LDI data.
Generate tools for the shop floor per Summit standards and
capabilities. Panelize the one up edited data into production panel
and add coupons. Verify customer prints pertaining to tooling.
Safely modify customer data wen required. Comprehend industry
standards, customer specifications, designated reference materials
and their appropriate application. Work independently with minimal
supervision. Work under pressure with time constraints. Operate all
processes and supporting equipment with little supervision
Effectively follow company systems and procedures. Minimum
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Skills:
Must be able to research and develop new CAM processes. Must be
proficient in rigid, flex, rigid/flex, and sequential lam designs.
Strong attention to detail. Problem solving ability. Must be able
to cooperate and communicate effectively with customers.
management/supervisory staff. Preferred Skills: Experience in
printed circuit board (PCB) industry will be preferred. Two (2)
years work experience as a CAM Engineer using Genesis software.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous
experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Physical
Requirements: Must be able to sit and/or stand for long period of
time. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
Working Hours: 1 st shift: 7:30am – 3:30pm 2 nd shift: 3:30pm –
11:30pm Compensation/Benefits: Summit offers a variety of health

Holidays. Benefits are effective 1st day of the month following 30
days of hire. Pay Range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 hour
