Job Description Job Description Deepview Talent Support is supporting a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing operation in the search for a Plant Engineering Manager. This hands-on leader will oversee plant engineering, maintenance, and facilities operations with a strong focus on equipment reliability, process optimization, launch support, and facility performance. Key Responsibilities: - Lead plant engineering, maintenance, and facilities functions across the site - Drive equipment uptime, preventive maintenance execution, and overall plant readiness - Oversee building systems, utilities, grounds, and general facility infrastructure - Support launch readiness activities across production, engineering, controls, materials, quality, and program management - Manage engineering changes for both new and existing programs - Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, capital planning, and equipment validation - Lead continuous improvement efforts tied to efficiency, throughput, reliability, and cost performance - Manage department staffing, budgets, and resource planning - Promote safety, technical discipline, and compliance across engineering and maintenance functions Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field - 5 years of management experience in automotive manufacturing - Strong background in plant engineering, maintenance leadership, and facility operations - Experience in JIT assembly and/or sequencing environments preferred - Working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance performance management - Familiarity with AIAG Core Tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC - Experience with industrial automation including robotics, conveyors, DC fastening systems, and automated equipment - Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Additional Details: - Full-time, on-site role in South Chicago, IL - Occasional travel up to 20% - Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 bonus potential Company Description Deepview Corp. partners with reputable industrial contractors and manufacturers across Michigan to connect skilled trades professionals with long-term, stable opportunities.
