Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. A contract opportunity is available for physical therapists specializing in school-based services, supporting students from early childhood through 12th grade. This assignment is for the Extended School Year (ESY) program and is located in Des Plaines, IL. Candidates will work directly within the school setting, ensuring hands-on support and therapy for students. Position Details: Location: Des Plaines, IL (in-person only) Contract Duration: June 15, 2026 July 26, 2026 Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM (First and last day ends at 3:15 PM) Multiple positions available Support students from early childhood through 12th grade The use of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) is not permitted for this role Qualifications and Experience: Valid Illinois Physical Therapist license (Please provide a screenshot of your IL license) School-based physical therapy experience preferred Ability to deliver therapy services in an educational setting, collaborating with educators and school staff Strong communication and organizational skills to manage therapy caseloads efficiently Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct physical therapy interventions to eligible students during the ESY period Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school guidelines Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student development and well-being Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing school-based therapy services Benefits: Gain valuable school-based practice experience in a supportive educational environment Work a consistent, part-time schedule within a defined summer program Engage in meaningful therapy work impacting student success during the ESY program Qualified physical therapists interested in this contract should ensure their Illinois license is current and verified through the official licensing portal.
