Job Title: Porter Position Reports to: Mitch Doi - Estimating FSLA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Estimating-Production Departments Note: Critical features of this position are described under the heading below. Essential Duties & Responsibilities to be Performed: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Receives dispatch from Production/Estimators/Office for the following: Customer vehicle pick up Customer transportation to and or from GCAB facility Relocate vehicle in the shop Phase to Phase Shop transport of vehicle in the shop Phase to Phase Retrieve total loss vehicles or Belongings Upon Vehicle drop off Record Vehicle mileage Place floor mat in vehicle Install key tag Install windshield tag Pre-Wash vehicle Service Drive management Continually work to clear pathways for vehicles and customer alike, so that to encourage a free and clear passageway Parking lot management Maintain vehicles in the systematic parking grid Continually scan parking lot for vehicles that are mis-parked Continually scan parking lot that are vulnerable to the elements Be certain vehicle doors are locked when parking a vehicle Greet Customers Qualify Customers, discover customer presence, 'May I help you'? Start Customer information sheet Open/Close Collision Facility as follows: 900 Building Alarm Key Pad on/off Overhead doors x 4 Service doors x 6 Hoses for overhead doors Shop cars Bring in from outside Bring out from inside Remove from the street Remove between the overhead doors Gate open/close Lights Service desk Service drive/shop Tech stalls Parts room Production office 2nd floor Lunch room Tech lights Production office locked Paint mixing room locked Stairwell doors closed Heat on/off/lowered/raised Air hoses leaking Compressors 930 Building Overhead door x 1 Heat on/off/lowered/raised Compressor Lights Service door Parking lot on Hickory Lock/Unlock padlock HOURS: Monday Thru Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm COMPENSATION & BENEFITS : Pay Rate - $18.00 / Per hour Non-Exempt - Over Time will be paid after 40 hours. Health insurance ($30.00 HMO or $40.00 for PPO/per weekly check cost for employee after 90 day wait period) Two (2) weeks (10 Days) paid vacation (Accrued) Maximum (5) Personal days (Accrued) Maximum Maintaining the Physical Assets Make sure all Facilities are properly secured each day. Make sure all Vehicles are properly parked. Make sure all Vehicles are secured. Make sure all Customer contents are properly secured.
