Position Summary The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for
processing a high volume of customer payments accurately and in a
timely manner. This role plays a critical part in ensuring proper
cash application, resolving unapplied cash issues, and maintaining
strong collaboration with the Credit and Accounts Receivable teams.
This role is ideal for someone who values structure, accuracy, and
consistency, and takes pride in producing precise and reliable
work. Key Responsibilities Process daily customer payment
applications Process incoming payments via Lockbox, ACH/EFT, and
Wires Review lockbox deposits and process unmatched payments
Balance daily cash receipts including ACH, Wires, and Netting
receipts Resolve unapplied cash issues in partnership with the
Credit Department Collaborate closely with AR Specialists to ensure
timely and accurate cash application Enter invoice information into
customer portals as required Record electronic deposits Perform
additional accounting duties as assigned by the Credit & AR
Supervisor Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or
equivalent Minimum of 1 year of cash application experience Strong
aptitude for numbers and financial accuracy Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong
problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication
skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple
responsibilities Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field What
