The Manager, Accounting and Transformation Support is focused on
implementing consistent accounting policies on a global basis to
ensure high quality financial reporting, preparing technical
position papers, ensuring revenue recognition policy compliance,
managing the accounting and reporting of factoring programs.
Additionally, this individual assists in a variety of
transformation projects, as needed and supports the businesses in
understanding the accounting implications of various transactions
or contracts that they enter into.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Assist in compliance and review efforts as they relate to
revenue recognition
--- Manage factoring accounting for quarterly reporting and
providing technical accounting support for new factoring
agreements.
--- Act as the accounting liaison for enterprise-wide projects
including contractual analysis, providing guidance on accounting
treatment, writing technical position papers, reviewing
consolidation system data to ensure entries were recorded
correctly
--- Assist in acquisitions and divestiture accounting, including
providing support to local accountants, technical accounting
conclusions, working with valuation specialists, and assisting
--- Develop accounting training programs for finance
organization
--- Support transformation efforts: finance process improvements,
process automation
--- Write and/or revise accounting policies
--- Maintain accounting policy manual and chart of accounts to
ensure high quality financial reporting
--- Training and other implementation support for new accounting
policies (including ongoing monitoring)
--- Assist with various technical accounting topics including, but
not limited to, revenue recognition, share-based compensation,
PP&E, goodwill, going concern, intangibles, and impairment
analysis
--- Evaluate policy deviation requests from BUs and review with
CAO
--- Prepare and evaluate quarterly SAB 99 memo
--- Provide U.S. GAAP support to the Divisional and Corporate
Finance leaders
--- Ad-hoc projects, as requested
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or
equivalent, required; CPA certification or equivalent, required
EXPERIENCE: 5 - 7 years of experience, preferably recent BIG 4
public accounting firm experience, experience with carve-out
financial statements, business combination accounting, and
accounting for factoring arrangements preferable.
REQUIREMENTS: --- CPA or equivalent is required, including a
thorough understanding of US GAAP and GAAS
--- Significant capability, drive, and initiative to create and
manage own work agenda and work independently
--- Strong Microsoft Office skill (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
--- Ability to travel up to 10%
