• Various health benefit plans (bluecross)Job DetailsThe Senior Property Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate properties. This position will lead the preparation of monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, variance analyses, annual budgets, and other reports to evaluate the financial health of properties.Primary Responsibilities:Prepare monthly financial statements for each property including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysisComplete monthly close process including reconciliations of balance sheet accountsAnalyze property financials and create reports for executive management highlighting trends, risks, opportunitiesCoordinate external audits and provide supporting documents to auditorsDevelop annual capital and operating budgets for properties in conjunction with property managersEnsure accurate and timely billing of tenants for expenses and other pass-through costsReview tenant leases and abstract key terms related to calculations of rents, reimbursements, escalationsIdentify process improvement opportunities related to accounting and reportingRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required5+ years of relevant experience in real estate accountingIn-depth knowledge of GAAP and strong technical accounting skillsExperience with Yardi or other real estate accounting softwareStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesInterested in hearing more?
